Chiplytics PSA System
Comprehensive Electrical Inspection for Critical Systems
Power Spectrum Analysis (PSA) is a patented electrical testing method for capturing pseudosignatures of electronic components used to track and verify authenticity throughout the supply chain. Use the Chiplytics PSA System to capture repeatable, calibrated signatures at scale.
Key Features
Quantifiable Assurance
Power Spectrum Analysis (PSA) performs a non-invasive modal analysis of an electrical part, revealing subtle, quantifiable differences such as in performance, usage, or even manufacturers.
Repeatable Platform
The Chiplytics PSA System integrates test and measurement capabilities into a small, repeatable form factor with minimal signal interference. Data processing and device calibration keep signatures consistent over time.
Simple Interface
Attach devices through the 40-pin zero insertion force (ZIF) socket or quickturn adapters provided by Chiplytics with fast turnaround for a wide range of package types. Send us the datasheet or provide the required pinout for a compatible socket.
Cross-Platform App
Operate the Chiplytics PSA System over USB on Windows or Mac and configure parameter sets to automate testing. Data is stored locally or over a secure cloud database for scalable data management and analysis.
Fast, Repeatable Signature Acquisition
Each component has a unique signature based on its electrical characteristics, material composition, and subtle manufacturing process variations.
Homogeneity Analysis
Signatures can be screened for same-ness using machine learning, revealing differences between components such as in manufacturer, performance, even down to date codes.
Use Cases
- Batch Homogeneity Evaluation: Collect power signatures to evaluate homogeneity among a batch of components
- Authenticity Verification: Compare signatures against a golden sample or run more extensive testing (e.g. destructive) on a subset to verify authenticity of the entire batch
- Component Health Prediction: Capture power signature profiles of aged reference components to predict the health and lifetime remaining of other samples
- Pre/Post Analysis: Quantify differences between parts before and after failure analysis, radiation hardening, or reverse engineering testing
- Supply Chain Traceability: Trace components throughout the supply chain using unique power signature fingerprints for provenance tracking
Applications
- Supply chain integrity verification
- Incoming component inspection
- Quality assurance in manufacturing
- Counterfeit component detection
- Regulatory compliance verification
- Failure analysis
Micro-Inspection Platform (MIP)
Automate electrical inspection of packaged microelectronics with our socketless testing platform. The MIP uses machine vision to align electrical probes with device pins, enabling comprehensive testing without needing sockets.

Micro-Inspection Platform
Automate Electrical Inspection of Packaged Microelectronics
The Chiplytics MIP enables in-house AS6171 electrical testing. Components are loaded using standard JEDEC trays or placed freely on an ESD mat for automatic detection, interfacing, and electrical testing without requiring custom sockets. Chiplytics remote setup and analysis available as a service.
Key Features
Comprehensive Inspection
The Chiplytics MIP runs electrical and visual inspection on all parts, ensuring comprehensive, data-driven coverage with minimal setup required.
Socketless Testing
The Chiplytics MIP uses machine vision to align its electrical probes with device pins, enabling a wide range of packages to be tested on-demand without custom socket adapters.
Cross-Platform App
Operate the Chiplytics MIP over USB on Windows or Mac and configure parameter sets to automate testing. Data is stored locally or over a secure cloud database for scalable data management and analysis.
Expandable Automation
Use the system as a fixturing platform with alternate test and measurement equipment or integrate with external test fixtures using the Chiplytics SDK and support from the Chiplytics engineering team.
