Chiplytics Raises $4.5M to Bring Resiliency to US Electronics Supply Chain

SEATTLE, WA, September 24, 2026 — Chiplytics today announced the close of a $4.5M funding round led by Scout Ventures and Waypoint Ventures and the opening of a dedicated electronic component inspection laboratory in Bellport, New York.
The Seattle-based startup is commercializing microchip authentication technology developed at Sandia National Laboratories. The financing follows an Air Force Tactical Funding Increase (TACFI) awarded to advance the company's inspection platform.
The new inspection site comes as electronics manufacturers face a recurring problem: semiconductor shortages are not isolated events. From the COVID-19 pandemic to today's memory shortage, recent disruptions have highlighted the interdependence of global supply chains, where a single point of failure can leave electronics manufacturers waiting months for critical components. To keep lines running, manufacturers turn to independent distributors to solve their complex needs while risking exposure to substandard, mishandled, or even counterfeited parts. Eliminating that risk requires rigorous inspection, transparent pricing, and a fully-documented inspection process.
Verified by Chiplytics, the company's new quality assurance platform, addresses all three challenges through 100% inspection, transparent pricing, and traceable test results. Customers see the part cost and a separate, percentage-based verification fee and approve the test plan and quote before work begins. The lab operates inside the 600,000-square-foot Bellport distribution center of Quality King Special Services (QKSS), parent company of component distributors NRC Electronics and PUI, bringing testing and distribution together in one location. Built for the pace of a high-volume distribution environment, the lab runs Chiplytics' automated inspection suite: Sandia's patented Power Spectrum Analysis (PSA) electrical test, packaged as a benchtop system, and a machine vision-enhanced Component Inspection system to image every unit and verify package markings, alongside AS6171-aligned methods including X-ray imaging, solderability verification, and component decapsulation and die inspection. Lab operations are led by Devon Richman, Ph.D., Chiplytics' VP of Operations, who also serves as a technical expert assessing ISO/IEC 17025-accredited laboratories, with expertise spanning AS6171, AS6081, and MIL-STD-883.
